Land Clearing in Mallorca
Estate clearing, fire prevention, land recovery. Clean work, waste fully managed.
What it is
Clear the land without fighting it.
On Mallorca, keeping land clear is not optional. The Balearic wildfire-prevention regulation requires owners of estates, villas and built structures to maintain a cleared safety strip around any building, especially between May and October. An estate left untouched for a couple of summers becomes a legal problem, a risk to neighbours, and an exponentially higher cost the day it has to be recovered.
Professional land clearing is not running a brush cutter until nothing green is left. It is a technical intervention: identifying the native vegetation worth keeping, deciding what to mulch on-site and what to remove, treating brambles and giant cane with the right technique so they don't regrow in six weeks, leaving the soil decompacted and breathing.
TerraLuxe Gardens works with silent electric brush cutters, motor scythes and chippers. We don't use chemical herbicides, no agricultural burning, no heavy machinery that destroys the soil. Mulched on-site or removed depending on what the client prefers. Each estate is delivered documented with before / after photos and notes for the next cycle.
How we do it
Four steps. No shortcuts.
STEP 01
Inspection
On-site visit, terrain reading, identification of native vegetation and critical zones (building perimeter, accesses, boundaries).
STEP 02
Clearing plan
We define perimeter, cut height, what to preserve, what to mulch on-site and what to remove. Closed written quote.
STEP 03
Mechanical execution
Electric brush cutter and motor scythe. No chemicals, no burning. Quiet equipment compatible with neighbours and guests.
STEP 04
Waste management
On-site mulching or removal to authorised composting plant. Estate delivered clean, soil breathing.
Land types we work on
Each plot has its technique.
We work with six common land profiles in Mallorca, each with its specific technique:
- Structural clearing without harming trees
- Deep cut + rhizome control
- Mechanical cut + full removal
- Recovery preserving native regrowth
- Balearic wildfire-prevention compliance
- Full recovery, phase 1 + future plan
Frequently asked questions
What clients ask us most.
- The Balearic wildfire-prevention rule defines a critical period between May and October. The ideal time to clear is April-May, before the heat sets in. We remind regular clients of the optimal moment each year.
- Never. Agricultural burning is restricted and, more importantly, it goes against our environmental commitment. We mulch debris on-site or take it to an authorised composting plant.
- No. We work from 50-metre perimeter strips up to whole estates of several hectares. Pricing tracks surface and starting condition.
- We carry portable electric equipment, motor scythes and a compact chipper for vehicle-inaccessible zones. If the estate has tricky slopes, we assess on-site and quote with no surprises.
- It depends on surface, vegetation density, accessibility and chosen waste management (mulching on-site is cheaper than removal). On-site visit and closed written quote always before we start.
